The father is a manta ray. The mother is a jellyfish. Her flowing hair takes the form of sea snakes. And their child, a small remora, swims alongside them. Beings that would never meet in reality exist here as one family. This work was inspired by actual moments experienced while diving in Ishigaki, where multiple forms of life overlap and coexist in the same space. From this memory, the piece expresses a connection that goes beyond visible form. The mother, depicted as a jellyfish, embodies both softness and strength, holding and surrounding everything within her presence. Even when forms and species differ, there remains a true sense of family.
